Trying My Hand at Homemade Goods
I've recently been trying to make "homemade" household items. So far I've tried to make doggy biscuits (were a smash!), Homemade laundry detergent (cleans well) and Christmas ornaments. My next and new homemade project will be Flea Collars and Flea Shampoo :) I've made up some of the recipe for the flea collars, and some I have taken from different suggestions. I will post pictures of my results later on:)
Easy Flea Collars (for dogs)
-Soft dog collar
-1/4 C. dark or light vinegar (I'm using light)
-1/4 C. 70% Isopropyl Alcohol
5 to 6 drops Essential Oil (I'm using Tea Tree Oil)
Pour all liquids including Essential Oil into a ziplock bag and then place the dog collar into the bag and soak the collar for two days. I'm sure you could keep the mixture to soak the collar again. The vinegar is supposed to repel the fleas. I will tell about the results with pictures SOON!
